News from last month's meetings - December

We initiated one new Brother into the Mysteries of Freemasonry and are looking forward to his upcoming examination. One former Brother was brought back into membership when his Petition for Restoration was approved by the Brethren. Another Petition for Degrees was approved and will be acted upon at our first Stated Meeting in March.

We are saddened by the passings of Brothers David Bayless and David Williams. Please keep the families of these Brethren in your thoughts and prayers.

Our Inspection in the Master Mason Degree is re-scheduled for Monday, March 22, 2010.

An Application for Affiliation from a Brother who previously lived in North Carolina was approved by the Brethren.

We approved a motion to purchase a full page advertisement in the upcoming Grand Master's Reception program as well as a sponsorship of R.W.B. Kevin Todd, our Grand Lodge Senior Grand Warden. R.W.B. Todd and his wife Pam will be seated with us at the Reception, Friday, May 7, 2010 at The Lodge and Conference Center at Geneva State Park in Geneva-On-the-Lake, Ohio.

We had the pleasure of hosting our District Education Officer, W.B. William Gore, who presented an educational program entitled 'Do You Know More Than an Entered Apprentice"? While making his presentation fun, he brought a lot of Masonic information that the Brethren might not have known before.

Our Temple Representatives noted that the viability of a building extension on the south side is being looked. The Monday morning clean-ups are going well with a number of Brethren participating. A parking light was damaged by a truck turning around in the parking lot and will have to be fixed when the weather starts cooperating. There has been a re-appraisal of the property taxes now being set at $4550.00 a year.
