News from last month's meeting
January 2011
Brian S. Williams, Secretary
Bro. Mark Beard returned his Master Mason
examination and was greeted and congratulated for his efforts. Several
new Entered Apprentices started their journey through our Lodge and are
also progressing very nicely. One new Brother was our Inspection
candidate in the Entered Apprentice Degree. Although a number of members
from our Lodge felt it was in their best interests to suspend themselves
from membership for various reasons, we have at least one Brother who
had previously suspended himself from membership is now seeking
restoration.
A report was given that we have been
asked to again participate in the Niles Community Meals program. R.W.B.
Curtis Miller has been asked to obtain further information concerning
our participation. The First Christian Church in Niles has graciously
granted our Lodge use of their facilities if needed.
Our Lodge Education Officer, W.B. Charles
Chagnot, continues his interesting and informative talks on Freemasonry
at almost every meeting.
A moment of silence was held for the
passing of W.B. Andrew Kieltsch. W.B. Kieltsch will be missed by many.
We exhibited a very fine Inspection in
the Entered Apprentice Degree during the month. A number of visiting
Brethren were greeted from lodges throughout the 25th Masonic District.
R.W.B. Scott Baker, our current District Deputy, was accompanied by
R.W.B. Gary Evans, also a current District Deputy, and Worshipful
Brothers William Gore and Orville West who are both District Education
Officers of our District.
